Craig Phillips will appear on Radio 4 this Sunday the 16th of September at 11 am discussing the phenomenon of reality tv with Radio 4 presenter Sue MacGregor in the latest episode of her popular Reunion series.
The episode will look at the programme that changed British television forever: Big Brother. As the winner of the very first series of Big Brother, Craig will appear alongside Sir Peter Bazalgette, the Endemol boss who developed and produced the UK format of Big Brother and Tim Gardam, then Channel Four's Director of Programmes who commissioned Big Brother. Craig will also be re-united with former contestants and his co-housemates in the first series "Nasty" Nick Bateman and Anna Nolan.
The programme will analyse the unique contribution of Big Brother to British telly, re-focussing attention on what was then a completely novel format. The media interest in this first series was so strong that Craig's confrontation "Nasty" Nick Bateman made the front pages of almost every national newspaper in the UK.
