Craig Phillips supports Checkatrade Foundation

Craig ambassador of checkatrade

As an ambassador of Checkatrade, Craig Phillips attended a special ceremony on behalf of the company’s own charity, the Checkatrade Foundation.

A cheque for £10,000 was presented to the winner of a fundraising competition which raised funds for the charity’s ‘Big Build’ project, the Redwood Park School in Portsmouth. The winner was Just Wood Flooring owner Alastair Smyth, who in a fantastic act of generosity donated £5,000 back to the charity through Gift Aid.

Craig presented the cheque to Alastair and had an opportunity to have a look round the building site. The Checkatrade team have spent over a year raising funds to support the school for children with special needs by replacing very inadequate sports changing facilities with a modern up to date building with heating, showers and toilets.

Craig said: “I was delighted to attend this special event to celebrate the fantastic work that the Checkatrade foundation does.”
