Craig Prepares for 100 Mile Liverpool-Chester Charity Bike Ride

Everyone’s favourite Big Brother winner is taking to two wheels this Sunday 5th July to participate in the annual Liverpool Chester Liverpool charity bike ride. Now in its 22nd year, the event raises vital funds for the Claire House Children’s Hospice, which makes a huge difference to the lives of terminally ill children and their families, and challenges riders to cycle a 100 mile course from the Birkenhead Tunnel in Liverpool to Chester and back again.

Craig’s mother was unfortunately diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease a decade ago and since then he has been very active in both her care and raising money for The Alzheimer’s Society, who do great work supporting the victims of dementia. Craig has taken part in the bike ride before and will use this year’s event to raise further funds for the society.

As he prepared for his ride, Craig told us Liverpool Chester Liverpool 2015 is “a great opportunity for people of all ages and abilities to get involved and raise some money to support their chosen charity. The ride is so well established in the city and I am really looking forward to taking part.”

He has assured us he’s armed with a puncture repair kit and, as you’d expect from Craig, he knows exactly how to use it, so we wish him all the best this weekend and hope he can raise as much money as possible for The Alzheimer’s Society.
